Micah’s Backpack
Micah’s Backpack is a collaborative program between HARC, Washington County Public Schools, MD Food Bank, and area churches and community groups with the purpose of providing food for students in need. At St. Mark’s, this is a hands-on ministry that provides weekend meals for 5 students at nearby Rockland Woods Elementary School. We also provide holiday meals for these families with the help of our Daughter of the King (DOK) group and other parishioner donations.
St. Mark’s volunteers to run a hospitality stop…
at the annual HARC Hike for Hunger and Hope fundraiser on the beautiful C &O Canal Towpath. This is a major fundraiser for the Micah’s Backpack program.
