Sunday & Midweek Services

What to Expect

9:00 Rite I or Rite II Sunday Service in the Historic Church

Here we offer a traditional Episcopal service with pews and kneelers and traditional music all in the lovely atmosphere of our historic church.

4:30 Wednesday Healing Service with Eucharist

This is a smaller service held in the Boyd Cook Room. This is a wonderful way to come to pray and worship together. Bible study then follows Evening Prayer.

No matter which service you choose, know that you will be welcome. We are accepting of those who are at different places on their spiritual journey. As part of our Anglican tradition, we value scripture, tradition, and reason. In other words, we welcome questions, different points of view, and enjoy learning. We even understand doubts can be a way of building our faith along the way.

At our services, we use the revised 1979 Book of Common Prayer (BCP). The Anglican Communion, of which the Episcopal Church is a member, has made use of a Prayer Book since the first English Prayer Book in 1549. While this comes with a rich tradition, there is no reason to be intimidated if you are new. A church bulletin will give the “roadmap” of the service along with appropriate page numbers for the service in the prayer book. Don’t be afraid to ask on Sunday if you are new to the Episcopal service.

All baptized persons of any age are welcome to receive communion at our services.

A free pdf of the Book of Common Prayer is available courtesy of Forward Movement.
